Carlo Ancelotti takes over at Real Madrid

Real Madrid have confirmed Carlo Ancelotti will take over at Real Madrid, who have been managerless since Jose Mourinho headed back to London for a second spell at Chelsea.
With Jose Mourinho moving back to Stamford Bridge three weeks ago, it meant a manager shaped hole was left at Real Madrid and after much thought they have decided to appoint PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti had a reasonably successful two years at Paris Saint-Germain, coming runners-up in Ligue 1 in 2011-12 and winning by 12 points. He also got them to the quarter-finals in the Champions League where they got dumped out by Barcelona.

The former Milan midfielder has signed a three-year contract with Real Madrid and will hope he can have great success in Spain. He has never managed a club for more than two years except with A.C. Milan but will hope to add another team to that list with Real Madrid.

His first test will come with keeping star player Cristiano Ronaldo at the club, with a possible move to Man United on the cards. Madrid will undoubtedly miss the Portuguese forward who is one of the best players in the world. However, Real Madrid are keen to sign Tottenham winger Gareth Bale and Carlo Ancelotti may be a key link in the possible transfer, it could depend on how Ancelotti and Bale get along or not.

With a squad and transfer kitty as big and as good as Real Madrid's, Carlo Ancelotti will struggle not to be a success! What do you think? Comment below.
